Job Summary
Conduct accurate measurements of underground and surface workings while maintaining secure records. Assist the engineering team with critical functions including stope design and production planning by utilizing total stations and scanners to generate precise surveys. Use engineering designs to guide mining activities and perform other duties as assigned. This role requires a valid driver's license, ability to operate company vehicles on and underground, and strong physical stamina for uneven terrain. The candidate must demonstrate commitment to a safe work culture and minimal supervision. Required Qualifications
- Strong math and computer skills
- Valid driver's license
- Commitment to developing and maintaining a safe work culture
- Able to drive assigned company vehicles on surface and underground
- Able to walk significant grades, uneven ground, and meet physical requirements of position
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work safely in underground mining environment
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic survey methods
- Degree in Mining Engineering or applicable experience
- Knowledge of underground mining methods and design
- Demonstrate computer skills with 3D drafting programs
- Strong verbal and written communication
