Job Summary
Join Biodesign Finland at Aalto University as one of four part-time Innovation Fellows (20%), a 6.5-monthMedTech Founders program. Employed by Aalto University for the duration, you will undergo structured training to identify unmet clinical needs with HUS clinicians, develop validated medtech solutions, and pursue commercialization pathways. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team, taking leadership responsibility for your project, supported by program faculty, mentors, and healthcare stakeholders. Real-world clinical immersion at HUS, access to Terkko Health Hub co-working space, and a hybrid on-site/remote arrangement with primary activities centered in Otaniemi, Espoo. The role requires active participation during office hours; English proficiency is essential (Finnish knowledge is an advantage). The program awards 8 ECTS credits and aims to foster startup entrepreneurship, with potential follow-on opportunities in research projects, innovation funding, or company formation.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher University of Applied Sciences degree, or equivalent expertise in engineering, data science, design and service design, clinical practice, life sciences, entrepreneurship or related field
