Foundry Utility Worker

Job Summary
Foundry Utility Worker to support daily foundry operations, including grinding castings, operating band saws and shot blast equipment, forklifts and power vacs, pouring molds, and assisting with mold setup and cleanup. Duties include transporting materials and castings, performing general foundry maintenance, reporting defective materials, maintaining clean and safe work areas, and adhering to safety guidelines. Training available for entry-level candidates; job requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in high-temperature, noisy, dusty environments. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Manufacturing or foundry experience preferred
- Prior grinding experience is a plus, but training is available for entry-level candidates
- Ability to use fixed gauges and follow written/verbal instructions
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting over 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Comfortable working in high-temperature industrial environments with noise and dust exposure
- Strong attention to safety, reliability, and teamwork
- Ability to concentrate and remain productive for extended periods during repetitive tasks
