Job Summary
Senior or Staff Engineer on Micron's Dry Etch R&D team to develop and scale plasma-based etch processes enabling next-generation packaging. Own end-to-end collateral integration including secure download of foundry collateral (PDKs, IP bundles), NDA/access-control enforcement, PDK installation and environment setup, multi-node environment maintenance, and alignment with foundry recommendations. Lead validation of CAD flows with DRC/LVS/ERC/PERC checks, regression testing versus prior PDK releases, and ensure checkpoints are satisfied before transfer to teams. Manage release packaging and distribution of validated PDK environments, maintain version control across collateral, PDKs, and toolchains, and publish release notes and documentation. Drive automation to reduce manual setup and improve validation/testing efficiency. Collaborate across functions with foundry partners and internal teams. Required familiarity with EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens), Linux scripting (Python, Tcl, shell), and tapeout/regression validation workflows. Preferred experience with foundry interfaces (TSMC, IFS), CAD automation, and large-scale PDK release management.
