Job Summary
Oversee daily foundry operations including melting, molding, casting, finishing; develop production schedules to meet delivery timelines and optimize resource utilization; monitor and maintain equipment performance with preventive maintenance; ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control procedures; collaborate with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and improve process efficiency; manage foundry staff including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and shift planning; track and report KPIs such as yield, downtime, and scrap rates; drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies; oversee budgeting, cost control, and inventory management for foundry operations; lead capital projects related to equipment upgrades, layout changes, and process enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in foundry operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of casting processes, metallurgy, and industrial safety standards
- Proven project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership abilities
