Job Summary
Founding Software Engineer to own greenfield backend development using TypeScript to build REST APIs for a SaaS insurtech startup, on-site in downtown San Francisco. Requires 4+ years server-side experience (TypeScript/Node/Nest/Next), live cloud production exposure (AWS/GCP/Azure), startup/early-hire background, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Nice-to-haves include experience with Golang, Python, Ruby on Rails, Rust, insurance-domain experience, and systems design expertise. Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional experience in server side development (ideally TypeScript, Node, Next, Nest etc.)
- Experience working within a live cloud production environment (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Startup experience or experience as an early engineering hire
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to join an early stage startup working on a small team of six engineers
