Founding Product Manager - Series-A Startup

Job Summary
Founding Product Manager to join a 25-person Series-A startup as the first product hire. Own strategy and execution from scratch, ship weekly releases, and move the product from existence to revenue. You’ll bridge the revenue gap by empowering engineers, define requirements, write specs, and test builds. Must have founder-level UX intuition, be comfortable operating without a formal product team, and leverage AI as a core part of the workflow. The role emphasizes shipping quickly, removing blockers, and driving end-to-end product outcomes in a pre-revenue setting; there is no management of other PMs initially. Location options include remote or hybrid in New York City, with NYC as HQ presence.
Required Qualifications
- Experience ~5–9 years in Product Management
- Startup/early-stage startup experience (Seed–Series B)
- Founding/solo PM experience or first PM role
- Ability to write specs, define scope, and test builds
- UX and design literacy; ability to wireframe and communicate with engineers
- Revenue-focused track record; shipped products with measurable impact
- Bias for action; ability to cut scope to launch and learn
- AI-native tooling and daily use of AI in workflow
Desired Qualifications
- 5 – 9 years of formal Product Management experience
- Startup experience at early-stage startups (Seed–Series B)
- Experience as solo/first PM
- Proficiency with Figma and UX collaboration
- Revenue-focused product management
- Bias for action and ability to ship with limited infrastructure
