Job Summary
Founding Operator in Sweden responsible for launching Gigs’ in-country operations. You will own the end-to-end operational and regulatory launch plan for Sweden, stand up the local foundation (legal entity, billing/tax, data compliance, local ops infra), map and secure required authorizations, build and maintain in-country regulator relationships, and coordinate with supply, legal, finance, product, and engineering to align timelines. You’ll lead cross-functional efforts with the GTM Lead Sweden, manage carrier/vendor relationships, document the market playbook, define success metrics from launch to scale, and may grow a local team. The role combines intense regulatory and operational work with strategic, cross-border collaboration, and requires 5+ years of market-expansion/operations experience, a track record of zero-to-launch delivery, and fluency in Swedish and English. Salary range EU: €130,000 - €170,000 (converted to annual USD for filtering). The position emphasizes in-person collaboration with some remote work and regular travel for team workshops and off-sites.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in market expansion, operations, or consulting at a high-growth tech company
- Track record of launching something from zero: owned a market, country, or product launch end-to-end with measurable outcomes
- Structured and relentless as a project driver with multiple parallel workstreams
- Analytically sharp and decisive with incomplete information
- Direct experience operating across multiple countries or jurisdictions
- Fluent in Swedish and English (required); other European languages a plus
