Founding General Manager

Job Summary
Founding General Manager sought to lead Frontier’s local hub in Charlotte. You will raise founding capital, assemble and lead a high-performing team, build local culture, own full P&L for the market, and establish Frontier as the AI-talent partner in the city. You’ll drive enrollment, revenue, learner outcomes, and community impact, convene local advisory boards, build an employer coalition, hire and manage operations, learner success, partnerships, and marketing, and launch Frontier’s first short courses and degree cohorts. You’ll work closely with the FIG ecosystem and national infrastructure, leveraging local relationships to turn a national movement into a thriving local institution.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience
- demonstrated track record of founding, leading, or significantly scaling an organization
- proven ability to mobilize capital (e.g., $1M+)
- P&L ownership experience
- team-building and hiring high-performing teams
- coalition building and stakeholder management
- ability to convene diverse leaders across education, philanthropy, civic government, and private sector
- experience representing Frontier as a thought leader
- independent contractor engagement experience (contract/1099)
