Founding Forward Deployed Engineer

Forward Deployed Engineer role focusing on post-sales implementation, architecture, and problem-solving for strategic customers. Responsibilities include partnering with customers to understand cloud environments and cost-management goals, designing and implementing scalable cost allocation and tagging strategies across multi-cloud environments (including Kubernetes), supporting technical onboarding for complex accounts, debugging data ingestion, tagging, and reporting issues, building custom solutions and workflows using APIs, and surfacing recurring customer pain points to Product and Engineering to influence internal tooling and processes. Required are 5+ years in a technical, customer-facing role; strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure); experience with cost data, billing exports, usage metrics, or large datasets; proficiency with SQL and/or Python; excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders; high ownership mindset and comfort with ambiguity. Bonus points for experience deploying cloud infrastructure (Terraform) and familiarity with Kubernetes, Snowflake, Datadog, or similar tools. Pay range is $145,000-$180,000 annually plus equity; benefits include 401(k) and health coverage; role is based in the United States with hybrid remote options.
