Job Summary
Founding Engineer role in a YC-backed enterprise AI SaaS startup, on-site in San Francisco. You will own large parts of the product end-to-end, build and improve agentic systems, work at the frontier of AI engineering (context engineering, agent architectures), and ship full-stack features when needed (Go backend, Vite + React + TypeScript frontend). You’ll interact with users to scope features that solve real pains, review code, and champion AI-first development practices (coding agents, automation, self-scaling workflows). Strong emphasis on taking vague problems, scoping them, and delivering end-to-end solutions with minimal hand-holding. Must-haves include proven production experience building backend services in Go, React with TypeScript, CI/CD, REST and/or gRPC APIs, and 0–3 years of experience; authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Location is San Francisco, CA, with on-site employment and no visa sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- Experience building backend services in Go (Golang)
- Experience building frontend applications with React and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment workflows, and production monitoring/observability
- Experience building and consuming REST and/or gRPC APIs in microservices architectures
- 0–3 years of professional software engineering experience (full-stack or equivalent)
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
