Job Summary
Founding Electrical Engineer responsible for owning the electrical systems of the nuclear power plant from conceptual design through prototypes to project delivery. You will develop design concepts for reactor subsystems, run design trades, ensure regulatory and safety standard alignment while reducing cost and schedule, validate designs via testing for manufacturability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the company's first subscale reactor prototypes. Expect hands-on work, hardware ownership, and potential relocation to the South Bay area; travel to reactor construction sites may be required. Qualifications emphasize a Bachelor's in electrical engineering, 3+ years of electrical hardware experience, and readiness to lead design activities with a hands-on, fast-paced, manufacturing-focused environment. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, 5+ years in electrical design, and leadership experience on engineering projects or competition teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline
- 3+ years of engineering experience designing, analyzing, and building electrical hardware (internship and school projects experience qualify)
