Job Summary
Founding Senior Backend Engineer to own the data platform end-to-end: define canonical data models across EMR integrations, ship the real-time event backbone, and build analytics/experimentation tooling. You will design and implement the instrumentation layer connecting agent decisions to customer-level metrics, create an integration platform to unify systems like WellSky, HHAeXchange, AlayaCare, and Axxess, and enable rapid experimentation and ROI-driven product strategy. The role envisions leading a 3–5 person data platform team and delivering the architecture that makes EMR #5 configuration a configuration task rather than bespoke engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience building data platforms and backend systems
- Strong knowledge of event-driven architectures and real-time data processing
- Experience with healthcare data concepts (EMR/EHR), FHIR is a plus
- Ability to lead a small team (3–5 people) and work in a founding, high-growth environment
- Experience with multiple external systems integration and canonical data models
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to ship end-to-end infra components
