Job Summary
Founder Community Manager at ventureLAB’s Founder Success team. Responsibilities include managing outreach and intake of startups into sector portfolios and community, facilitating handoffs to portfolio teams, delivering founder engagement programs, coordinating events, and matching companies with ecosystem partners. Requires 5+ years in startup/innovation roles, strong stakeholder management, CRM experience, project management, and familiarity with Canadian innovation programs. Base pay range 70K-80K CAD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (business, engineering, economics, international relations, or related field)
- 5+ years experience in startup programs, accelerators, or innovation hubs
- Demonstrated experience with startups or scaleups as founder/early employee or service provider
- Strong stakeholder management with founders, corporate partners, investors, and public-sector organizations
- Knowledge of CRM systems (Hubspot, Salesforce)
- Good project management skills
- Experience in hardtech, medtech, semiconductors, or advanced manufacturing and AI
- Familiarity with Canadian innovation programs (IRAP, OVIN, OCI, FedDev, Trade Commissioner Service)
- Experience working with publicly funded organizations with reporting and accountability requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Master’s degree (MBA, MEng, MPA, or equivalent) preferred
