Job Summary
Foundations of Health/Medical Professions teaching role focused on delivering foundational knowledge and professional competencies in health and medical fields. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining professional relationships with students, facilitating project-based learning, guiding student professional projects, establishing a professional learning environment, coordinating concurrent credit with postsecondary institutions, securing mentorships and internships with medical/health experts, engaging with professional organizations, adhering to district grading policies, sustaining an advisory group, recruiting students for the medical and health science course, and participating in CAPs Network professional activities. Requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), 5+ years of industry experience with certification, and capacity to work within a 9.5-month instructional contract with exempt status. Location in Little Rock, Arkansas with in-person duties; positions may involve collaboration with UA Pulaski Technical College and local medical/health partners.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or satisfactory work experience to qualify for a teaching workforce permit
- Master’s degree in related field preferred
- 18 graduate hours in content area to be employed as adjunct at UA Pulaski Technical College
- Relevant experience including at least 5 years with an industry recognized certification
- Strong knowledge of medical and health practices and procedures, terminology and ethics
