Job Summary
Foundational Skills Classroom (FSC) position to provide instruction for students in kindergarten through 12th grade with significant cognitive and/or pervasive developmental disabilities in a public-school setting. Focuses on functional curriculum emphasizing daily living and vocational skills, promotes communication and maximum independence, and enables generalization of skills in natural settings while supporting integration with typical peers. Role located at South Albany High School; full-time, probationary contract with salary based on education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to teach in the state of Oregon
- Foundational Skills classroom experience or capability to teach students with significant cognitive/developmental disabilities
- FTE: 1.0 position
- K-12 instructional responsibilities in a public school setting
