Job Summary
Oversee and manage animals in the foster program at the Helen Woodward Animal Center by coordinating with potential foster families via email, Facebook, and phone to secure high-quality homes. Provide on-site training for new foster volunteers, maintain training materials, and convey Center policies while ensuring compliance and professionalism. Manage record keeping and inventory of foster program supplies, and collaborate with adoptions and other departments as a liaison. This full-time role requires a valid driver's license held for at least three years, a good driving record, and proof of insurance, with 60% of duties conducted indoors and 40% outdoors.
Required Qualifications
- Prior supervisory experience including responsibility for training staff and/or working with Volunteers
- Previous Customer Service skills
- Confident Public Speaking experience
- At least 21 years of age
- Good driving record
- Valid Driver's License
- Driver's License held for at least 3 years
- Ability to complete a Driver Information Form
- Ability to provide a recent DMV Driving Record Report
- Ability to provide proof of insurance
- Ability to work in a smoke-free environment
- Ability to work 60% indoors under normal office conditions
- Ability to work 40% outdoors
Desired Qualifications
- Four months prior animal handling experience
- Basic understanding of animal husbandry & behaviors
