Job Summary
Provide supervision of assigned Foster Parents through service provision, assessing and promoting safety, well-being, and permanency. Recruit, train, and license foster homes through partnerships with churches and community organizations to meet community needs. Assess needs and provide knowledge, skills, and tools to Foster Parents to ensure they function within established expectations. Conduct recruitment activities to increase foster home capacity while demonstrating willingness to obtain necessary competencies. Requires a Bachelor's degree in social work or licensable degree, with preferred licensure from the Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board and two years of child welfare experience. Ability to travel, drive, and work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to travel
- driving agency or personal vehicle including at night
- Ability to do occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
- Able to walk up stairs
- Able to work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
- Employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally; inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed with Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board preferred
- Prefer 2 years experience in child welfare
