Job Summary
Provide supervision of assigned Foster Parents through service provision, assessing and promoting safety, well-being, and permanency. Recruit, train, and license foster homes through partnerships with churches and communities to meet community needs. Assess needs and provide knowledge, skills, and tools to Foster Parents to successfully function within established procedures. Conduct recruitment activities to increase foster home capacity while demonstrating willingness to obtain required competencies. Requires a Bachelor's degree in social work or licensable degree, with Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board licensure preferred. Two years of child welfare experience is desirable. Travel, driving, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs are necessary, including work during evenings, weekends, and variable environmental conditions.

- Ability to travel
- Ability to drive agency or personal vehicle including at night
- Ability to do occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
- Ability to walk up stairs
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
- Employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally; inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed with Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board
- 2 years experience in child welfare
