Job Summary
Provide case management services to children and youth in care and their families aiming for permanency. Coordinate connections with educational and judicial entities, participate in monthly home visits, and prepare comprehensive reports and testimony for court proceedings. Engage with foster families to provide support and life skill instruction. Maintain a manageable caseload while facilitating family meetings and ensuring appropriate crisis support is available. Flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet family needs, along with compliance with MDHHS and agency policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Community Development, Law Enforcement, Forensic Psychology, Gerontology, Special Education, Behavioral Science, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Studies, Family Ecology, and other related fields
- At least 30 semester credits in an approved degree if from another major
- Meet State Good Moral Character guidelines
- Valid and Current Driver’s License with acceptable driving record

- Experience working in child welfare
- Lived experience with the child welfare system and/or experienced child abuse
