Job Summary
The Foster Care Worker provides essential case management services to children and youth in care and their families, focusing on achieving permanency. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing individualized service plans, and offering support to foster families. The role requires cooperation with schools, courts, and service providers while conducting monthly face-to-face home visits and maintaining a manageable caseload. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, meet Good Moral Character guidelines, and hold a valid driver's license. Experience in child welfare and lived experience with the system is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an approved field of study
- Meet State Good Moral Character guidelines
- Valid and Current Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in child welfare
- Lived experience with the child welfare system and/or experienced child abuse
