Foster Care Therapeutic Support Worker

Job Summary
Develop and implement treatment plans to identify goals for families involved with the child protection system. Provide supportive counseling, health and safety education, and basic parenting education during supervised visitations. Facilitate and coordinate family visits while transporting children or families, and assist with resource coordination for social, medical, and vocational needs. Maintain positive relationships with children, families, and community providers. This flexible hourly role includes afterschool, evening, and occasional weekend visits. Candidates must hold a high school diploma, four years of family experience, and a valid driver's license with a clean record. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 4 years' experience working with families
- Must be at least 22 years of age
- Understanding of and ability to work positively with children and parents with mental health challenges and/or intellectual disabilities
- Ability to provide documentation such as valid driver's license, evidence of automobile insurance and a clear criminal record and central registry check
- Ability to drive your own safe running and reliable vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
- 2 years' experience working with families
