Foster Care Case Manager Cook County

Job Summary
Coordinate all services for wards of the state and their families by conducting regular home visits to foster homes and moving cases toward permanency in juvenile court. Arrange sibling visitation and manage case files to ensure the well-being of children under care. Work Monday through Friday from 9 to 5 PM. A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and IL licensing via CERAP, CCA, 402, and Child Welfare exams are required, along with strong organizational and communication skills. Own transportation and a current Illinois driver's license are necessary. Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a plus. This role supports Lydia Home Association's mission to create a nurturing environment for children in need.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field
- Must become licensed by IL Department of Children & Family Services by passing the CERAP, CCA, 402 and Child Welfare exams
- Strong organizational skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Own transportation
- Current IL driver's license
- Willingness to support the mission of LYDIA
Desired Qualifications
- Bi-lingual in Spanish
