Job Summary
Collaborate with DCFS, youth, birth families, foster parents, and other supports to achieve permanency for youth in care. Maintain and monitor placements for safety and well-being, document case notes and client records, coordinate linkage to community resources, establish a therapeutic alliance with families and service providers, and participate in required meetings and court hearings. Role involves visiting youth and families, facilitating access to services, and attending Child and Family Team meetings; requires flexibility for evenings/weekends and potential extended hours to complete paperwork or meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Human Services
- Child Welfare Employee License
- Access to reliable transportation to get to/from work
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Trauma-informed care experience or training
