Job Summary
Provide case management services to children and families in foster care; coordinate with DCFS, youth, birth families, foster parents, and other identified supports to facilitate permanency and well-being; maintain accurate documentation of contact notes, case notes, and client records; link clients to appropriate agency and community resources; establish a therapeutic alliance with families and service providers; participate in and attend required meetings with DCFS and in court hearings as needed; requires Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field and Child Welfare Employee License; candidate should demonstrate trauma-informed care and strong collaboration with therapists, CASA, attorneys, and other professionals; position may require evenings, weekends, and extended hours to meet deadlines and attend meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Related fields will be considered)
- Degree/Field Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Human Services (Related fields will be considered)
- Licenses/Certifications Required: Child Welfare Employee License
- Licenses/Certifications Preferred: Child Welfare Employee License
- Experience: Minimum less than 4 years (for positions that manage staff, progressive years of management experience)
- Skills: Trauma-informed care, Proficient/Expert Computer Skills in Outlook, Word, Database Management Software
