Foster Care Adoption Specialist - Rural

Job Summary
Conduct intensive case management, home visits, and crisis support for foster and adoptive families across Hood, Parker, Erath, Somervell, and Palo Pinto counties. Deliver trauma-informed interventions, lead monthly family progress meetings, and facilitate Plan of Service reviews aligned with TBRI® principles. Perform home inspections, assist with home studies, and provide aftercare services while maintaining 24/7 on-call availability. Manage documentation, coordinate with community agencies, and conduct recruitment and retention outreach to expand the foster care network. Complete required training in trauma-informed care, attachment-focused parenting, and first aid.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of two years of documented full-time work experience in a child-placing agency
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with youth, families, collaborating agencies, community professionals, and ACH Child and Family Services staff
- Ability to travel independently throughout a multi-county service area
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Automobile insurance in accordance with agency requirements
