Job Summary
Forward Deployed Security Engineer role deploying, managing, and advising on specialized security tooling across cloud, AI, network, endpoint, and identity domains. You will serve as both technical practitioner and trusted security advisor, improving customer security postures through tooling health optimization, advisory services (tabletop exercises, maturity assessments, compliance readiness), and development of customer-facing roadmaps. Responsibilities include configuring and maintaining security tooling, onboarding log sources, enabling customers through training, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate tools into SIEMs. Requires 3+ years in information security engineering, hands-on security tooling experience, and familiarity with SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, and CMMC, plus strong documentation and customer-facing communication skills. A Bachelor's degree in CS/Cybersecurity/Engineering (or equivalent practical experience) and relevant certifications (CSIS, CISM, GIAC, AWS/GCP/Azure certifications) are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 3+ years in information security engineering or a related technical field
- Experience deploying and managing security tools in one or more domains (cloud, AI, network, endpoint, or identity security)
- Experience delivering technical advisory services, security assessments, or consulting engagements
- Familiarity with SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, and CMMC
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and how it applies to relevant security domains
- Experience developing customer-facing security roadmaps and remediation recommendations
- Strong technical documentation skills
