Job Summary
Embedded with Harper’s operators across sales, service, underwriting, and carrier relations to surface friction, build automations and internal tools, and ship solutions that remove bottlenecks in real-time; you’ll prototype AI agents and workflows in days and ship them in weeks, instrument results with dashboards and SQL, translate operational pain into product requirements, and drive business outcomes through measurable improvements. You’ll alternate between hands-on operational work (customer calls, follow-ups, deal movement) and product-driven initiatives, explaining why numbers moved to both technical and non-technical audiences, with a focus on end-to-end ownership of messy problems and delivering repeatable impact.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years in a high-pace environment (startup, operations, consulting, or engineering)
- track record of building and shipping internal tools, automations, workflows in production
- comfortable in SQL and at least one of Python or TypeScript
- hands-on with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent)
- strong written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences
- based in San Francisco or willing to relocate immediately
