Job Summary
As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Summation, you will be responsible for end-to-end technical delivery in deployments, architecting data infrastructure, and driving clarity in projects to unblock deployments. This role emphasizes technical leadership, requiring strong coding skills, particularly in Python or Java, and in-depth knowledge of data engineering practices, including designing data ingestion pipelines and writing performant SQL. You will engage closely with clients to translate business requirements into platform features and ensure successful project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated success in a demanding role within software engineering, data engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting.
- Proven ability to write and review production-grade code (preferably in Python, Java, or comparable stacks).
- Deep familiarity with data concepts, including practical experience designing and optimizing relational schemas and writing complex, performant SQL.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience related to data pipelines, analytics, or Business Intelligence (BI) systems.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and leading technical discussions with external business and technical stakeholders.
