Job Summary
We are seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to tackle diverse challenges in full-stack development, networking, systems integration, and user-focused problem solving. Responsibilities include working closely with users and stakeholders to design and deliver software solutions, taking full ownership of features from concept to deployment, and collaborating across teams to build scalable systems. Candidates should have strong coding skills in languages such as Go, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript, a high ownership mindset, the ability to work in dynamic environments, and strong communication skills. Travel is required approximately 25% for deployments and software support.
Required Qualifications
- Strong coding skills with demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Go, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar.
- High ownership mindset; motivated individual who assumes responsibility for all aspects of the development and deployment of our software for a specific military customer.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals, comfortable in rapidly changing environments with dynamic objectives.
- Strong communication abilities with an interest and aptitude to lead customer-facing engineering interactions.
- Active U.S. secret security clearance required; top secret preferred.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on software in defense, aerospace, or other complex operational domains.
- Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, or sustainment challenges — especially in military contexts.
- Experience deploying software to production environments and managing cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Kubernetes) as well as Edge infrastructure.
- Exposure to data engineering, analytics, or machine learning in operational contexts.
Additional Requirements
- Active U.S. secret security clearance required; top secret preferred.
