Job Summary
Forward Deployed Engineer to serve as the technical face of Raft at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Responsibilities include acting as the primary technical liaison with forward-deployed customers, troubleshooting and debugging production systems at the system level, deploying and maintaining containerized applications in Kubernetes environments, providing expert-level support for CICD pipelines and container orchestration, diagnosing cross-stack issues, collaborating with backend teams for improvements, and interfacing directly with customer stakeholders in secure environments. Requires strong engineering background, Kubernetes expertise, CICD proficiency, and excellent customer-facing communication; U.S. citizenship is required; onsite presence daily with up to 25% travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations and security clearance (Active Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret).
Required Qualifications
- Strong engineering background with proven experience deploying and supporting production systems
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes debugging and troubleshooting
- Expertise in CICD tools and methodologies
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interface effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Outgoing personality with strong customer-facing capabilities
- Ability to work onsite at Schofield Barracks daily
- U.S. citizenship required for employment
Desired Qualifications
- SCIF environments or cleared customers experience
- INDOPACOM familiarity
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)
- OpenShift or other Kubernetes distributions
- DoD or federal government customer experience
- Clearance: Active Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret
