Job Summary

Forward Deployed Engineer at Lumafield responsible for deploying to customer sites and operating Lumafield scanners on the customer floor across a range of parts and inspection objectives. You will perform analysis in Voyager (defect detection, dimensional measurement, assembly verification), support ML model implementation at customer sites (data collection, validation, integration into production workflow), and assist with customer training and adoption. You’ll partner with Project Managers to track scope, timelines, and deliverables, collaborate with Application Engineers to resolve on-site technical issues, and document scans, analyses, model deployments, and trainings to enable customers to build on the work after you leave. Qualifications include a B.S. in engineering, 3+ years of experience in solution/industrial engineering in a production environment, familiarity with various manufacturing processes, experience with Lean/Six Sigma/SPC/PFMEA, and strong communication skills. The role involves extended on-site travel to customer locations and is focused on on-site deployments and collaboration with customer teams.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in engineering
  • 3+ years of professional experience in solution engineering, or in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering in a production environment
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes (machining, casting, injection molding, additive manufacturing, stamping, or assembly)
  • Experience with continuous improvement and process control methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, or PFMEA
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to lead technical conversations, run trainings, and represent on customer sites
  • Comfortable with extended-deployment travel pattern

Desired Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with industrial CT, CMM, or other dimensional metrology or NDT workflows.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, first-article inspection (FAI), or other inspection processes.
  • Manufacturing, Process, or Industrial Engineering experience in a production manufacturing environment
