Job Summary
Forward Deployed Implementation Engineer for the Federal Sales team at Second Front Systems. You’ll serve as a technical subject matter expert during customer-facing engagements, owning technical aspects of direct customer deployment implementations, onboarding customer apps into the GameWarden platform for security scanning and deployment configuration, and collaborating with product, platform engineering, customer success, program management, and sales. You’ll develop deep knowledge of Second Front products, identify onboarding or support process improvements, and work with cloud environments and on-prem hardware (secure OS and Kubernetes) to support deployments. Core responsibilities include configuring and performing customer deployments in cloud environments, enabling secure accreditation for SaaS applications, and enabling mission-focused outcomes for federal customers. Required qualifications include DoD TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain), U.S. citizenship, and residency in one of the approved hiring hubs. Preferred/related experience includes federal/government-facing solutions, enterprise SaaS support, cybersecurity knowledge (Security+), and familiarity with AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and DevSecOps practices. Travel up to 25% and a strong emphasis on customer-facing communication and collaboration across teams are expected.
Required Qualifications
- DoD TS/SCI security clearance or ability to obtain SCI
- U.S. citizenship
- Residence in one of approved hiring hubs (DC/Maryland/Virginia or Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill NC or Denver/Colorado Springs CO or Dallas/Fort Worth TX)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a federal/government-facing solutions architect role
- Strong track record supporting complex enterprise SaaS customers
- Cybersecurity knowledge or certifications (e.g., Security+)
- Familiarity with 2F’s tech stack: AWS, Talos Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Istio, Git, GitLab, Terraform, relational databases
