Forward Deployed Engineer (Copy)

Job Summary
Forward Deployed Engineer at Luma who embeds with customers to understand workflows, define the problem, and build production systems that solve real customer needs using Luma's APIs, models, and internal tools. You own projects end-to-end from first conversation to deployed system, identify patterns worth productizing, and communicate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders. The role emphasizes engineering judgment, building in ambiguous environments, and traveling to client sites as needed. Preferred background includes technical founder or customer-facing engineering experience with a track record of shipping real systems with real users; must be comfortable working across the stack and delivering with autonomy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in at least one general-purpose language (Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar)
- Experience building and shipping software end-to-end
- Ability to work across the stack and learn unfamiliar systems quickly
- Ability and interest to travel as needed to client sites
