Forward Deployed Engineer, AI Enablement

Job Summary
Senior Forward Deployed Engineer on the AI Enablement team at Stord, building agentic AI systems that automate internal workflows for CX, Finance, Ops, and Logistics. You will design and ship production AI-powered tooling and end-to-end workflow automations, integrate with OMS/WMS/TMS and internal data systems, and collaborate with product and engineering to create reusable patterns. You’ll own deployments from prototype to production, instrument systems for reliability, and deliver scalable solutions that reduce manual work. Key skills include TypeScript/Node.js backend development, agentic AI tooling, large language model integration and prompt engineering, API design, observability, advanced SQL, and experience building internal developer tools. Strong soft skills in ownership, communication, collaboration, and a growth mindset are essential. Nice-to-have domain knowledge in logistics/supply chain or back-office workflows, experience with workflow orchestration tools, and familiarity with Stord’s stack (Elixir/Phoenix, TypeScript, Kafka, GCP). Success metrics include embedding with internal teams, shipping automated workflows, and building a library of reusable automation patterns.
Required Qualifications
