Job Summary
Prepare structural formwork calculations and draft detailed concrete drawings while coordinating with project teams to ensure design accuracy and cost efficiency. Perform quality control walks, review documents for conflicts, and analyze bulletins to quantify changes and notify management of cost impacts. Plan material needs, manage inventory, and deliver up-to-date instructions to field sites, maintaining logs for RFIs and submittals. Support operational safety goals by identifying hazards during the detailing stage and resolve technical issues through project meetings. Maintain customer relationships to enhance project procurement capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or relevant area of education and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Strong mathematical and visualization skills
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Completed coursework in computer-aided drafting/building information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks, with an emphasis on thoroughness, attention to detail, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as customers and vendors
