Formulation Technician (6:30pm - 6:30am)

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •High School Diploma or GED
• •Must be at least 18 years of age
• •Possess or be able to obtain PIT Operator Certification
• •Basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members
• •Ability to understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings
• •Ability to perform basic mathematics
• •Basic computer skills
• •Requires continuous firm grasping and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds
• •Lifting and carrying on average up to 50 pounds continuously and up to 75 pounds occasionally throughout the shift
• •Pass the PIT physical
• •Normal visual acuity and the ability to distinguish color are necessary
• •Must be able to bend/stoop, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, twist at the neck and twist at the waist frequently throughout the shift and balance and reach at or below shoulder level continuously throughout the shift
• •Must be able to perform routine preventative maintenance in the Mixing Complex
• •Must be able to perform and document scheduled cleaning activities which include using a ladder and safety harness to climb into mixing tanks in order to clean the inside of the vessel
• •Must be able to Navigate the computerized Production Operating Management System (POMS) to access, manage and document batch information throughout the entire mixing process
• •Must be able to Obtain samples & perform scheduled quality checks
• •Must be able to Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
• •Must be able to Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
• •Must be able to Use a powered industrial truck (PIT) to transport staged materials to the assigned mixing tank
• •Must be able to Pump or manually blend raw materials into a chemical solution mixing tank
• •Must be able to Inspect, clean and re-palletize raw materials received from the warehouse
• •Must be able to Responsible for proper formulation of tanks including weighing, labeling, staging materials with strict adherence to procedures and standardized formulas
• •Must be able to Investigate, identify, and correct or escalate any inefficiency's or quality concerns for Mixing equipment and processes
• •Must be able to Generate and implement continuous improvement activities to the Mixing area and process
• •Must be able to Perform routine preventative maintenance in the Mixing Complex
• •Must be able to Promotes a culture of safety in the area
• •Must be able to Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
• •Must be able to Take ownership of Mixing and Tank Rooms to ensure adherence to cGMPs
• •Must be able to Responsible for the area budget and headcount resources
• •Must be able to Directs the team to complete projects and programs within boundaries of quality, time and budget
• •Must be able to Provides technical direction to staff
• •Must be able to Fosters an environment of creativity and innovation in completing departmental responsibilities
• •Must be able to Provides leadership within the maintenance organization and leads the organization's engineers, supervisors and technicians

Desired Qualifications

• •One year of manufacturing experience preferred
• •CRC (Career Readiness Certification) at the Silver Level preferred
