Job Summary
Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts by forming components to specifications using hand, hammer, or rubber press methods. Interpret blueprints and sketches to determine fabrication sequences, then lay out and mark dimensions on material to trace patterns. Inspect each operation for conformance to prints while selecting appropriate metal gauges and types. Diagnose simple part issues independently and collaborate with technical staff on complex problems. Sign into and track work via an ERP system, moving products between areas as needed. Maintain a clean, safe work environment while regularly standing and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate clearly with supervisor and coworkers
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving limited variables in manufacturing process
- Ability to add and subtract
- basic understanding of geometry
- Must be U.S. Persons as defined by U.S. law
