Job Summary
Load and unload building materials, assemble customer orders, and serve clients in the yard at our Dartmouth Distribution Centre. Operate a forklift to move materials while maintaining a tidy, organized lumber yard and warehouse. Perform periodic inventory counts and spot checks, receive incoming freight, and assist in loading orders onto trucks. Adhere to all safety rules and protocols while interacting professionally with customers and drivers. This full-time role requires forklift training and experience, with a starting salary of $20 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Forklift Training and Experience Required
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds if necessary
- Able to work in outdoor conditions
- Flexibility with start and finish times
- Reliable and punctual
- Self-motivated and able to work with little to no supervision
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of two years lumber yard and/or warehouse experience is a definite asset
- Knowledge of the building materials industry is an asset
