Job Summary
Forklift Operator / Clamp Truck Operator needed for manufacturing operations in Doswell, VA. Responsibilities include operating a clamp truck and sit-down forklift safely, staging rolls for production, preparing cores, packaging finished materials with proper labeling, weighing and locating finished goods, maintaining roll inventory and logs, transporting materials between buildings, inspecting for damage, and supporting rewinder operations. Learn the operation of rewinder equipment for backup support; maintain production- and warehouse-area housekeeping; perform other duties as assigned. Requires experience operating forklifts or clamp trucks in a manufacturing/warehouse setting; strong attention to detail, ability to follow work instructions, basic math and measuring skills, ability to read work orders and schedules, and a commitment to safety and quality. Training starts on 1st shift with transition to 3rd shift; schedule is Monday–Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a forklift or clamp truck in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Experience working with production equipment or machine operations is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Ability to read work orders, schedules, and production documentation
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
