Job Summary
Temporary contract Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate role supporting a Columbia Sportswear Distribution Centre. Responsibilities include receiving and shipment of products, proper storage placement, pulling and conveying cartons, labeling, packing/unpacking, loading for shipment, and operating equipment to move materials. Must operate manual or automated handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers) and use the Warehouse Management System (WMS). May rotate between DC departments as needed. Requires physical endurance (standing, repetitive lifting up to 40 lbs), basic computer skills, and a team-oriented, reliable approach. Shift options include Days (7:00am-3:30pm) and Afternoons (1:00pm-9:30pm) with a $1/hour premium for afternoons; contract runs from now through November with possible overtime and in-house training provided. Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing for extended periods and repetitive lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds
- Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or order pickers is an asset
- Basic computer skills or ability to be trained on a computer
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy in inventory and shipping processes
