Job Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Powered Industrial Equipment to move, load, unload, and stack products in preparation for shipping and receiving. Duties include operating standard sit-down or stand-up forklifts (and attachments), loading/unloading, stacking, transporting to designated areas, scanning products, printing labels, completing paperwork, and utilizing inventory systems. Ensure product rotation and perform cycle counts, daily safety inspections, and maintain readiness for SQFI/FDA/customer requirements. Communicate incidents to supervisor and may perform housekeeping tasks. Emphasis on safety, accuracy, attention to detail, and continuous improvement in a warehouse/distribution environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years prior forklift operating experience.
- Must be a licensed forklift operator or be able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
