Job Summary
Process orders per schedule, transport and stage product, and load/unload supplies safely and efficiently using sit-down and stand-up reach forklifts. Read Bills of Lading and pick sheets to build full pallets following first-in-first-out methods, shrink wrap when necessary, and stage items for loading. Load and unload trucks, obtain incoming bulk product samples per Quality Control Guidelines, and place goods in appropriate storage areas. Maintain clean aisles, organize partial pallets, inventory product, label and wrap items, and hand load onto containers. Comply with GMP, SQF procedures, and safety policies while completing required paperwork. Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent standing, lifting up to 100 pounds, and exposure to dust and machinery.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- 1 + years recent experience operating Sit Down and Stand-Up reach forklifts in a warehouse environment
- Must be able to meet daily production requirements
- Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Read and comprehend required paperwork
- Writing skills sufficient to complete required paperwork
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel
- Ability to work well with all levels of employees whether individually or in a team environment
- Effectively communicate questions, problems and reports to co-workers, supervisory and management personnel
- Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed
- Frequently (more than 75% of time) required to: stand and/or walk, use ladders and climb stairs, bend and stoop, reach, push/pull, kneel and crouch
- Lift, carry and/or move items up to 100 pounds, without assistance
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Personal protective equipment, such as hearing protection, safety glasses, hair net, and food safety-related items, is required
