Forklift Operator

Job Summary
On the manufacturing floor, safely and efficiently move raw materials and finished products between departments to support production flow; inspect material handling equipment; maintain 5S in storage areas; review paperwork to locate parts and transport them; follow schedules and communicate production timelines to managers and supervisors. Requires adapting to changing workloads, strong communication, problem-solving, organization, multitasking, and physical capability to drive, stand, and climb; familiarity with forklifts, walkies, and warehouse logistics is desired.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating material handling equipment (forklifts, pump carts, walkies)
- warehousing or logistics experience is an asset
- ability to adapt to a changing work environment and priorities
- strong communication and problem-solving skills
- attention to detail and time-management
- ability to work shifts including days and potential weekend shifts
- physical ability to drive 80-90% of the time, stand, and climb
- understanding of basic 5S and organizational practices
- familiarity with shipping documents and drawings
- MRP/ERP systems are an asset
