Job Summary
Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck, cranes, hoists, and hand trucks. Accurately remove and stock product, select items to fill customer orders, and package them properly. Load and unload trucks, verify correct items, and process, pick, and pack orders, including cutting orders on the Kaltenbach saw when required. Complete cycle counts, segregate defective material, and perform general clean-up. Inspect the forklift at the beginning of every shift and report issues. Comply with all health, safety, ISO, and 6S initiatives while working directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery. This safety-sensitive position requires a high school diploma, English or French literacy, and previous forklift experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, must read and write French)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Previous forklift experience
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions
- Safety Mindset
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing
Desired Qualifications
- Use of handheld measuring tools
- Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs
