Job Summary
Forklift Operator duties include receiving, storing, and distributing materials within the warehouse, using industrial power equipment to move materials to storage locations, delivering materials to departments or shipping docks, and performing multi-task operations while adhering to safety guidelines. Responsibilities include loading/unloading from pallets or transport devices, conducting routine maintenance on equipment, weighing materials and recording data, and operating or tending automated packaging or cutting machines. Proficiency in Forklift Operating SOPs for the assigned warehouse area, strong teamwork, attention to safety, and the ability to follow English instructions are required. The role is on-site at the Manufacturing Plant in Indianapolis, IN, with overtime and weekend work occasionally expected.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in a Forklift Operator role
- Forklift certification required
- Must understand oral and written instructions in English
- Must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills
- Must have successfully completed the Forklift I Matrices Sign-Off Sheets and approved by an Operations Manager
