Job Summary
Check loading documents before and after loading, then operate forklifts for lumber packaging or wrapping. Make effective stock rotation, wrap and inspect lumber, and handle tagging, banding, and special orders. Perform general clean-up, conduct inventory counting, and document mechanical operation and maintenance requirements. Operate equipment safely according to applicable codes and Stella-Jones health and safety program. Work rotating 12-hour shifts at an hourly wage of $35.95 plus applicable premiums.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Proficiency in English, spoken and written
- 1 year of related experience
- Ability to lift lumber, twisting and turning, bending and standing for extended period
- Job task planning and organizing
- Attention to detail
- Safe forklift operation
- Ability to perform the tasks without causing damage to product or equipment
- Basic Math Skills
