Job Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for efficiently supplying production lines with raw materials, transporting goods, and loading/unloading trucks. Key duties include adhering to health and safety policies, operating forklifts safely, conducting trailer inspections, maintaining cleanliness in the shipping area, completing inventory checks in SAP, and participating in safety assessments. Candidates should possess a valid forklift certification, relevant experience in a manufacturing or beverage production environment, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Forklift certification
- Approximately 3+ years in a fast moving packaged goods environment
- 3-5 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experienced in SAP
Desired Qualifications
- Good interpersonal & communication skills, both written
- Solid understanding of production machinery/forklifts
- Formal training in areas such as WHIMIS, HACCP, Hygiene
