Job Summary
Move goods from production areas to freezer/cooler using forklift or power jacks, and read work orders or receive oral instructions to accurately pick frozen goods. Scan inventory into racks and label all inventory while maintaining a clean and safe work area. Perform regular and repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds and stacking product to a pallet of up to 6 feet in a cold environment. Comply with all Company and Federal Policies, Procedures, and Regulations, including GMP and USDA standards. This role supports Schweid & Sons' operations in a cold warehouse setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and do basic math
- Must be able to work under pressure and in a cold warehouse environment
- Must be Forklift certified
- Must be in compliance with Schweid & Sons policies and GMP procedures
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with GMP, USDA, OSHA
- Must maintain regular and punctual attendance as well as work overtime as needed
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
