Job Summary
Operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and stage materials throughout the facility, frequently dismounting to manually position and inspect items. Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections, maintain accurate movement records, and report malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor. Securely load and unload shipments onto pallets, skids, and vehicles while stacking and organizing inbound and outbound materials per company procedures. Transport materials between production and warehouse locations, inspect products for quality, and maintain a clean work area. Work 8- to 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Valid forklift certification and minimum five years of operation experience required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years of forklift operation experience
- Valid forklift operator certification
- Proficiency in operating a forklift safely in a warehouse or production environment
- Strong situational awareness and ability to navigate safely in tight or congested areas
- Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions
- Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment and minor maintenance
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to frequently mount and dismount a forklift throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to work 8- to 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as scheduled
